Our Typical Day

Children should arrive at the school between 8:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m., for morning assembly to start at 8:30 a.m.

The school day is finished at 2:30 p.m, except on Wednesdays at 12:30.

The school day provides a healthy mix of classroom learning, hands-on activity, group and individual work and outside play and discovery. A typical day is as follows:

8:30 – 9:00 a.m.

Assembly for all grades. The students will receive a short lesson on the focus character trait the school is emphasising that term.

9:00 - 12:30 pm

After students have had a chance to greet and settle, they will focus on languages (including reading, grammar, writing, and spelling) and maths. A break for outside play and relaxation will happen during this period. On various days we study music (two times per week), physical education and art.

12:30 pm

Lunch

1:00 – 2:30 pm

Students will study a host of subjects under an integrated theme which may last 4 to 8 weeks: geography, history, sciences, arts, physical education and civics.

2:30pm

Dismissal
